How does studying with flashcards work
[/text_box] [/ux_banner] [section label=”Simple Center” bg_color=”rgb(245, 245, 245)” height=”200px”]WHat are flashcards and why would I use them?
Flashcards (revision cards, studycards, karteikarten and so on) are small, sturdy paper cards. By using these cards you study effectively and efficiently.
The system was invented by Professor Sebastian Leitner and is succesfully used all around the world.
We have created these colourful flashcards to make learning more fun, so you can get better study results

Write the cards yourself” font_size=”large”]On the front you write a word, definition or question and on the back you write the answer. Since you’re actively writing you remember the material more quickly and better than when you type it out.

Study the cards one by one” font_size=”large”]Then you can start studying. Get your stack of flashcards out and answer them one by one. Do you know a card?
Put it aside and create a pile of flashcards you know. You revise these every couple of days.
You only revise the flashcards which you don’t know every day. Have a card which you know? Revise it every three to five days. Have a flashcards you’ve forgotten? Revise it every day again.

Mark definitions and important phrases
Filter through the text and mark all the important stuff: definitions, key-phrases, terms and words.
Those are the foundation of your flashcards

Write your flashcards
Create your flashcards based on the items you’ve marked. Write a definition, word, key-phrase or other on the front, and the meaning on the back.
Use one flashcard per definition and make it more fun using some nice pens and markers.
