WHat are flashcards and why would I use them?

Flashcards (revision cards, studycards, karteikarten and so on) are small, sturdy paper cards. By using these cards you study effectively and efficiently.

The system was invented by Professor Sebastian Leitner and is succesfully used all around the world.

We have created these colourful flashcards to make learning more fun, so you can get better study results

How do you use and learn with flashcards

How do you make good flashcards?

Read carefully what you need to learn

First, you must know what you need to learn exactly so you know what to expect.

Mark definitions and important phrases

Filter through the text and mark all the important stuff: definitions, key-phrases, terms and words.

Those are the foundation of your flashcards

Write your flashcards

Create your flashcards based on the items you’ve marked. Write a definition, word, key-phrase or other on the front, and the meaning on the back.

Use one flashcard per definition and make it more fun using some nice pens and markers.
